Took this picture at "The Best Jump 2007" held in in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil. This was the last time I used my sigma 70-300mm that came with my XTi. I just upgraded to a Canon 75-300mm IS USM...I know this is not a huge upgrade, but this was what my pocket allowed and I'm happy! :)

C/C Very welcome...

Did you boost saturation on this?

Yes...I was using one of the picture styles with a little cranked up saturation...

A little too much I guess... :-P

Any other comments, anyone?

I'll agree....just a tad oversaturated and a tad soft....

I like the angle of action caught....

Why did you use ISO800 outside? You have IS, so I'd think you'd be able to get at least 1/2 stop out of it...

I had a Sigma 70-300 APO Macro and a Canon 75-300 IS USM....this was a couple of years ago, so our models may be different...

I greatly preferred the Sigma over the Canon....the Canon suffered greatly from chromatic aberration.....

Sold both and got the Canon 100-400 :)

Just my .000000002¢

Thanks for the words...

Unfortunately my sigma does not have IS...I had to use ISO 800 in order to the 1/350 with the lens wide open...

It is oversaturated indeed...and soft mainly because the lens sucks I would say...I haven't tried out the Canon extensively yet. But just for the fact that it has IS, I'm sure it'll give me better results.
