It's too bad you're not in the US of A, because I have a Magnum AW in excellent used condition to sell.
Here's my take: The Magnum AW is what I class a "car travel" or "on-location" bag when you want to lug a lot, with good protection. This is in distinction to "shooters" bags like my Domke's.
The Magnum AW is an excellent LARGE bag, rugged, heavily padded, lots of adjustable dividers and small pockets for the digital era. It holds the 70-200 f/2.8, big body or two small bodies, and lots more lenses.
If your work let's you carry gear via car or air to site, and then you pull the camera and accessories for shooting people, things, or landscapes, Magnum AW may be your bag. If you travel to wedding or event shoots, or landscape, set the bag down and shoot, this may be your bag.
But, if you are an event photog, editorial, documentary, and shoot from the bag and haul it with you, then an equivalent shooters bag is needed. The Domke F1-x has less padding protection, conforms to your body, does not have the accessory pockets for digital age gagdits. But, when you need to carry and shoot from the bag, Domke is the ticket, even though it does not offer "travel protection."
I've used both. If I ever go back to "shooting nothing farther than 500 feet from the car" I'll reload the Magnum. Now it sits lonely in like new condition on the shelf for $100 USD...
