Thank you very much.

You're going to get a lot of votes for the 28-135 IS, so I might as well be among the first to suggest it. Good range, relatively compact, fairly sharp, Image Stablization. A good package.

The salesman at my local camera store says that the most popular lens they sell with the 10D is the 28-135 IS. I have one, and it is, as belmondo mentions, a good lens. It also slots right into your budget, and if you are in the USA, there is a $15.00 rebate available.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Me Tom and Rick, the 28-135IS is $580.00 at Ritz Camera online store, nice, but little over my budget, I'm looking for something under $500.00  Do you guys know any website that will explain more about lense ? I don't know what's 28-135IS stand for.

Take a look at the B&H photo website. The 28-135IS is under $400 with the Canon $15 rebate.

Check the Canon website for detailed info on their lenses.

Good move, I think you'll enjoy it on (at least) two fronts - the lens is a good choice, and you picked one of the best online retailers (WooHoo, another victory over the dark side - Ritz!)

Have Fun

May I suggest the Canon 50mm f/1.8 (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=12142&is=USA) in addition to the 28-135 ? It's one of the cheapest lens ever, but it's very bright and optically excellent.

why most of my pictures from the 28-135m len came out little under expose? even on the bright day light.
