I found out just a few months ago that Bruce Lee and his son Brandon Lee are buried in Seattle in the Lakeview Cemetery. I paid a short visit yesterday and snapped a few photos.

I am a huge Bruce Lee fan, ever since I was a kid. I remember making my own nunchucks and flailing them around, ala Bruce Lee in "Enter the Dragon". I accidentally hit a vase and it was confiscated. Good times! Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful colours. Pity about the shadow though, sort of spoils it a little for me. I never knew he was buried in Seattle....

I agree about the shadows. I was there around noon with the harshest light possible. The graves face east, so an early morning time or overcast day would probably be best light wise.

Big Bruce Lee fan here.
I imagine I'd get some chills knowing I was standing over him.

I remember this like yesterday. Just the other side of the road in the back ground of picture one is one of Seattles first mayors. I was there doing some Geo-Caching and spent hours looking at the old stones. Great place.

Woow. That's awesome. I've never seen his or his sonds grave before.
Why aren't there flowers or little trinkets on his grave?
Where's the love?

After seeing Jim Morrison's grave in Paris and the way it's been trashed with the writing and all, I'd rather see the beauty of the headstones and nothing more. Those headstones are beautiful by themselves. Fans sometimes do not know how to take care of anything.

There are a few trinkets there. Oranges, pennies, other small things (The Crow video case was on Brandon Lee's grave).
Thanks all for the comments :)

Bruce Lee fans and Jim Morrison fans are usually quite different.
I'm glad his resting place is unscarred.

Truly amazing. I think Hendrix is burried in the same cemetary. Side note: One of Bruce's old instructors is the owner of a small Chinese grocery store in Seattle. But this was back in 2001 when I read that story. But he does visit the grave site often out of respect. Man that brings back lots of child hood memories.

Jimi Hendrix is buried in Renton, WA... somewhat between my house and work place, I'll have to stop by sometime.

Thanks for posting this. My dad was good friends with Bruce Lee. Unfortunately I can't remember him because I was too young but I have some photos - some with me in them. I will post them here if I can find them.

Unfortunately, the Jimy Hendrix grave site has been thrashed as well. The gold guitar inlay has been carved out of his headstone. It's a shame.

Another big Bruce Lee fan here. I grew up taking martial arts for years and years; always aspired to be just like him in the art.
Here in Westchester County, at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery lies Babe Ruth and Billy Martin. Their headstones are quite unique, with lots of baseball memorabilia around. I've visited it a few times and it's never detracted from the moment. In fact, Billy Martin's wife dedicated a bench which overlooks his grave and I used to go there and eat lunch, as do many others.
