THIS!?! (http://skv.kapsi.fi/blog/?p=111) (sorry, the site's in Finnish, click the image to see the effect)
I love the way it dims the screen and then "extends" the image. I've seen it on other sites too but no-one's answered my e-mails.:cry:
I'd love to have it on my website as well. Beats SimpleViewer IMO.
Anyone?

Not sure what has been done with the photo side of things but it is a wordpress blog but not sure what the gallery side of things is. I suggest you contact the page owner directly or the developer.

It is gallery made with some java-scripting, if You have basic skills of webmastering you should cope with the examples below

...if you understand this You should take a look at the page-code you served here... it will be far easier to implement it on Your gallery.

One thing about Lightbox is that it allows several picture to be linked together into a gallery for navigation purposes - hovering the cursor over the full image provides navigation links to the next prev/image:
