That's quite a bird. What ever it is. What part of the world is this?

The shot was taken at the WWT centre in Washington N.E. England. I don't have a clue which family of bird it's from. I'm just starting to get to grips with my 400d never mind what it is I'm pointing it at! lol :lol:

Yep, and to narrow it down to the exact species, I believe this is a 'crested screamer'.

Thanks for the replies. Rubberhead & Sandpiper got the species - it's a called either a Southern or Crested Screamer. They're natural habitat is in South American swampland, did a bit of searching on the net to confirm, not the chilly N.E. of England. Another good reason for me not recognising it. :lol:
