Spent all day trying to finishe my website only to still be at square 1!!!

I know what I want it to look like, but because I'm not a geek and have an advanced knowledge of html or flash I just can't get the damn thing to look right.

It's so frustrating!!!!

Buy a template. That's what I did and it isn't nearly as daunting.

There are lots of flash ones out there that look pretty slick. I bought a simple, inexpensive one from www.allwebco.com just to have something on the web until I can get a handle on flash. I bought another flash one but want to make sure it's perfect before I launch it sometime this summer.

Another option is to use a program like Dreamweaver or Golive both by Adobe and design graphically. There is also a free extention to Mozilla Firefox which allows you to design graphically you can download it here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60 I haven't tried it yet but I've heard it's pretty good.

Took me almost 2 years to get my biz website functionally where I want it...and it isn't even all that fancy design-wise.

Sometimes good things just take time.

I know how to use dreamweaver. I even have a degree in graphic design!

The problem I always have is that I'm over critical of my own work, and can never decide on a layout that I like - for me!

From my experiences so far, I find you begin really liking a design, work on it and because you work on it so much you get bored and see it in a differnent light at the end...I got part way through mine and i am still struggling to finish it....

I like your site. Very simple yet professional looking.

Just a couple of things caught my attention. First, rewrite your About Me section. Think as a consumer when writing it. I don't want to know about when you started liking to take photos. I want to read about you as a professional. Just think of it as a very brief resume. What would it take for you to convince me to hire you? Have another set of eyes proofread it. I know how hard it is to write about yourself. It's not my favorite thing to do either. Maybe write a chronological outline of your professional self then use that as your starting point to compose your About Me section.

Second is the manual scrolling of your gallery. I'm sure I'm not the only one who said this but you can do better than that. Use your advanced knowledge in HTML and/or Flash to improve it. Maybe make it into a scrollable Flash. Have LEFT and RIGHT arrows/buttons that visitors can click once then it scrolls to the next full image. I'm sure you know and have seen what I'm talking about.

This is just my 2 cents.

Peace,
Yanis :D

Hi,

The design is very nice, as someone said professional lookin' but I don't like the scrolling thru the galleries, It's better to create small thumbs (as I did) in php, or create slideshow in flash.
It is very hard to refresh photos always by editing standard html pages.

that's my 0.2c :)

I love the layout and the scroll button.

I have first seen it here

I want to make one myself, but don't know how.
