Here are 2 pics from this past weekend's US Wind and Water Open here in Corpus Christi.

The skateboarding competition went on for 2 days.
This skater is KeChaud Johnson from Dallas Texas, he ended up winning first in the comp and took home $1,000 in doing so.

1st pic, Frontside Feeble

Firstly its a very interesting way of showing your images, what software do you use to create these?

The images are hard to say something about as they are animated, maybe posting a few individual stills would increase the feedback.

Good idea, thanks!

I use Adobe Imageready CS2 to create the .gifs

Awesome work! I do think that these guys need to be wearing helmets though. (I watch too much "scarred" on MTV.)

ill just critique the jpegs..
1st one is ok. the timing is almost perfect but the colors just seem flat and unflattering. the composition couldve been better too, but maybe this is the only good looking angle you could find so i dont know.

2nd one is waay too tight. its kindve an illusion, at first glance i thought he was 5-0ing the rail. again i think the comp could be a little better.

Crashoran, helmets make for very lame shots. i know a cracked skull isnt cool but its the risk you take

Thanks for the advice!

A lot of photogs and spectators weren't allowed on the concrete as to not get in the skaters way during the comp.
I would've preferred to shoot from the side during that heelflip pic and would've switched to a wider lens for the overcrook if I would've known what the trick was in advance.

oh well, gotta work with whatcha got
