Not bad, really. If you were in the stands, there is very little you can do. I can't get the exposure info, but the lack of blur tells me you did okay.

Colors and exposures are excellent but your timing's a bit off. It takes some practice or shooting in "spray and pray" mode but pics of hurdlers with both feet off the ground when they're either approaching or directly over the hurdle (like the second guy from the left in #2) are usually better. You probably can't get them all at this point except perhaps on the first hurdle when they might be very near together. If you can't get them all at this critical point then it's best to get the lead hurdler.

Thanks, I would have went on the track on this one but there was only two photographers out there and they had these huge credential badges on so I couldnt fake that one like I normally do!! Thanks for the encouragement.

Those are some nice shots.
I know this has nothing to do with the pictures, but I am curious. When I have watched track in person and seen it on TV, they are usually running in a counter clockwise direction. These pictures they are running in the a clockwise direction.
Does it matter based on the track or location in the country?
Just curious.

Sprint races IE 100 meters 100 and 110 hurdles and 200 meters are run with the wind at the racers back so if they have to they will change the direction so that they wont run the majority of their races in the wind. Thus when you see WIND AIDED times..

Sweet....I have heard before about the "wind aided" but never quite figured out exactly what that meant.
Sorry for hi-jacking your thread jsmoove007, that question was just dying to come out.

Sweet, distance runner. I ran XC in high school.
Anyway, to the pictures. Nice job for being in the stands, good captures.

Try just a hint of blue when you edit it helps reduce the red reflecting up from the track.
Cheers Ken.
