When I began taking pictures for money... editors demanded that sports photographs be taken with Speed Graphics. Those were 4X5 cameras which were bulky, slow, and time consuming. As you can imagine, since these cameras used film in frames we rarely got to take more than ten pictures during a game. So we chose our shots VERY carefully. And the best of these large format photoghers worked to get the inevitable blur (through ghastly slow lenses) to reinforce the action.
This is so reminiscent of great 50s and 60s sports photographers. And you've captured so much tonal range under the lights while composing it strictly to the Rule Of Thirds that I can see the smile on the old editor's face. This was a money shot back then. Your retro feel is superb.
Thanks for sharing,
Ted

Thats very very encouraging Ted. Your comments mean a lot since you are someone earning money from the era that I'm trying to create into this photo. Thanks again. Enjoy...

That is a very 'strong' picture. Add it to your portfolio and keep it forever in a prominent place on your wall.
