Now I've finished shaking water out of my ears, thought I'd post a few from yesterday's game, Wakefield vs Bradford. Bradford won, sadly not as good a game as the Leeds one (pics here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=318431)) for excitement.

Ridiculous new guidelines at the ground, so had to shoot the 1st half from the crowd so I could cover the Bradford attack (long story, Health and Safety related apparently!)

C&C welcome, pretty grotty conditions overall, but a profitable day overall so can't complain. And the raincovers I bought about 3 months ago actually work too.....strangely its the first time I have had to use them!

Thanks for looking!

6. No arty shot I'm afraid, however this is the closest I could come on the day...

Thanks Dan - despite the fact it was chucking it down, it was still a pretty bright day, so that helped things along

Thanks Gary - I think you may have got wetter though, I had the "benefit" of having to take cover whenever I needed to wire images, so that gave a few minutes of shelter every now and then!

Ahh Paul yet again you've nailed some great shots! You leave me drooling that It's so hard to gain accreditation out here! I love shooting in the rain more and more everytime i do it, wel i should say i love the results. #3 is the pick for me, if I'm not mistaken it's Lesley Vainokolo? Great work as always, it's a pleasure to stop by and have a look.

Rob - thanks for the comments, they really are appreciated.

The results shooting in rain are pretty good - I'm not sure where to start looking for it, but one of the best shots I've seen for a while in the rain was the winning shot in the FA Cup 3rd round photo competition. A chap called Marc Aspland (staff tog for The Times) shot Tevez of West Ham in pouring rain....its a great image and shows how rain can actually make the picture.......without the rain it would have been a pretty ordinary picture.

You're right on the Lesley Vainikolo id.....scary chap! The next frame along from that (which is actually the better image) got used a few times......he had an awesome game.

Off at a tangent, you'll be pleased to know that your favourite, Trent Barrett was referred to on Saturday's commentary as the best player in Super League. What impressed me most was that he got knocked out cold during the 2nd half.....once the physio had brought him around with a liberal dose of smelling salts and throwing some water in his face, he got up and played out the rest of the match. Now that is pretty tough!

Wow that is a fair effort! It's funny the club I follow out here has very fickle supporters, they all wanted rid of him last year, now that they are 2 wins from 8 games they want him back! Unbelievable! Anyway thanks for the update and great work.

Love the action, clarity and colours in #1. #3 is great as well but the focus appears to be on the ball and not his face?

Realy like the action in #4 as well. Top job buddy.

Great shots and as a wakey fan, sorry you had to endure such a poor performance!

Cheers Darren, guilty as charged on 3, although have been back to the original and focus isn't even on the ball. Not quite sure where it is!!

Great shots and as a wakey fan, sorry you had to endure such a poor performance!

Thanks Ricky.

I thought the weather spoilt the game a little, neither side shone to be fair and Wakefield did well...however I also feel the weather levelled the game somewhat too.....having seen Bradford against Warrington 2 weeks ago, I think it would have been a more one sided game if the conditions had been better.

I love #1 and #5 , they have very good action.
All pictures are good too, but I don't like the last very much.

Amazing sharpness - add to it the spot from where you were shooting, plus the rain, and it makes all of these very Impressive! #1 & #6 are my favorite (don't ask me why #6, I'm not an expert by any means, but it just has something that makes it for me). I hope to reach your skill level some day.
thanks for sharing...
