Hi, i like where you are going with it but I found it a bit to busy, Its like I had to pull my eyes back to read it, too many lines and shapes.

Just my 2 pence.

Thanks Carl - I see what you mean at that size - it isn't so bad when on a black BG and not so "in your face"

Have done the same thing as a web banner too.

I agree I like it without the shading of the holes. Out of curiosity, what is the yellow-orangish writing for along the top and bottom? Is it necessary?

how big is that logo file? Isn't it a little too big for loading time? Design is cool though.

Thanks for the feedback.

The film borders are from a scan of 35mm film; the writing is what appears on the actual film.

As they appear there the 600 pixel wide is 45KB, the 800 pixel wide is 58.5KB, and the web banner at 750 pixels wide is 69.6KB. I wouldn't normally be displaying the first two at that size online but would use the banner at that size. Are they really too big for web display?

Hey Richard,

My first thought of the logo was that it appears cheesy - but when I saw the banner I loved it. SO... With pics it works. I just don't know how it would look by itself as a business card.. or a letterhead.

Cheers,
Naomi

Have done the same thing as a web banner too. I'm liking the banner, & without the center pic which does nothing for me, it might make a good business card.
Being semi-retired, I try to target specific areas of interest & make a separate card for each. Since I don't need too many cards total, I put 3-up on a 4" X 6" print & cut them out.
One "advantage" to that is that the card isn't a standard size & will stand out from the other cards in the pile.
One "disadvantage" would be that, because it sticks out, it may be trashed by an anal potential client? (Who I probably don't want to do business with anyway?) :D
