View Full Version : Another world, in your hands...

I'm trying new techniques out, and I stumbled upon this one. I put a microscope slide cover (a small square wafer of glass) on my palm and focused on it with the reflection from outside.

I like how it turned out, but it would have been nice to have the hand in focus also. Not only that, but it would be so easy to do this in photoshop that it's almost not worth the trouble.

Oh well, thought I'd share it anyway.

P.S. - Any ideas for creative pictures I can take that involve a bunch of microscope slides and those extremely thin glass wafers? Everything I can think of looks dumb.

I love it! Turn your hand lightly more clockwise and pull the slide off center and you'll have a more powerful image. Prob would look cool in B&W too. Fun stuff. I wish I had some little glass wafers to play with. ;)

Hm. Try a polarizer just for the heck of it.

build them up like triangles so they meet at a point at the top then sprinkle water running down from the top and catch the droplets as they fall,...if that dont make sense will try and re-explain
