Is there a way to recover blown out detail? (see white dog below)
I have PS CS.

I think that is one of the issues that can't be recovered so it seems to be better to underexpose a little.

Nope! But what I would do is clone the details from another part of the dog and then adjust the brightness so it looks right.

Thanks for the input,
never thought of that, will file that in the slow old brain for next time.
In fact I eneded up just taking the picture again :lol:
