So I just discovered these bags awhile ago and truly love them now. I already have my second one on the way (a 6 MDH).
It is odd to me though that there is not much press on these bags and it is really hard to find anything on them besides a few small stock images. Also seems like no stores around me carry them :(
They are built so well and better than most bags I have used and seen in stores for more money!
Just curious who here uses them as not many seem to talk about them anywhere on the net!

I have friends that have them and they love them. But they are usually $ up on others.

I use the TAMRAC cyberpack 8 and it is flawless. But I wanna get something like the LOWEPRO slingshot 200 for the quick run. peace.

I got hooked on the brand when I bought my Part and Parcel messenger bag. I have since added the 6MDH and the Customary Barge to my collection. I think they're great. Very low key yet stylish and they pack a lot of protective padding.
There are a couple things that irk me, though. One, I didn't really like the alternative color choices for the 6MDH or the Customary Barge so I went with black for both and though they look nice, they kind of look boring. Two, their smaller bags for a one DSLR + one lens solution aren't that great. That's why I decided to try out the Domke F-5XB.

I have never found a better made bag ... and that includes all the big brands. The design and construction is superb. They can be a bit stiff due toi the over-build; more than you'd ever need unless in a bomb blast. There is definately a type who will buy Crumpler and anyone who has 'enjoyed' the UK crumpler site will know what I mean :-)

There website is such a PITA to navigate and get the info you want
Actually I find their pricing competitive for what they are. They are more expensive than other bags, but for bags built/made as nicely as the Crumplers they are pretty competitive in pricing and actually cheap at times.

Yeah, the US site is an early one and not so great. The UK one is much better ... tho' only in a Crumpler kinda way!

I've had almost every incarnation of the Million Dollar Home--I currently have the 7 MDH & 2 MDH. I've always been happy with them.

I have a 7 MDH and a Karachi Outpost and I love them both. Build to survive a war, stylish without being over the top and they don't scream camera bag.

Yup another very happy Crumpler bag user here, I use the Pretty Boy XXXL (still somewhat on the small size) as we have different bags here in the UK for some strange reason

Yup, I am trying to find a place by me so in a few months I can find a Crumpler bag for school.
It is hard to get an idea of size on the net, I can do it for a photo bag sorta but a school bag I really gotta see in person.
Too bad no one around me sells/stocks them.

I'm using a Whickey and Cox and it's fantastic. The main reason I chose Crumpler originally was for the can-only-be-opened-if-it's-off-your-back feature. Since then I've found them to be awesomely padded and very comfortable to wear as well as being hard-wearing.
I also buy Lowepro stuff, though - the Stealth Reporter range was much more appealing to me than the Crumpler shoulder bags for what I do at the moment. If I ever want a shoulder bag that doesn't look like a camera bag I'll go to either Domke or Crumpler, though.

I have the Karachi Outpost and love it. It's great for carrying everything on trips and the like. Sometimes too heavy (when loaded to the gills) to take on even a short hike, but I wouldn't trade it for a different bag.

I have both the Six and Seven Million bags. I enjoy them both. I got mine with a large discount. A Forum search will lead you to it, I saved about $30+ on the 7 Million, or somewhere around that much.

Make sure to use the code @sale They don't show the 7M now, give them a call if you want one.
They are not much on email, but they are honest and you will get your bag. Often they are out of stock, but they get new stock regulalry.

I've had the Brazillion Dollar Body Breaker bag for a few months. It's the first camera bag I've owned and I wanted something that didn't notify the world I have thousands of dollars worth of equipment on me, carried my laptop, and built well.
Mission accomplished...although it will tell the world you have a friggin' huge bag on your shoulder. Due to it's construction the bag retains it shape regardless of how much you really have in it...so it's big with or without equipment in it.
I've traveled with it and it will fit...barely...in overhead compartments on the bigger jets but not even close on smaller commuter jet planes.
It's stiff...but loosens up over time, but the build quality is really outstanding. I have most of the extra padding they give you sitting on my desk collecting dust.
If you loved leggos growing up or are an engineer you will love trying to configure the brazillion different ways to fit your gear in here.
I may consider one of their backpacks as I'm doing more hikes and beach outings and the Brazillion is just not designed for that use.
I had a female owner of a local camera store tell me "women buy shoes, photographers buy bags"...I fear she is correct...sigh...

You can connect to POTN using your crumpler bag! Wow, that's a feature I didn't know they had.
Budgie Smuggler for me. Its small (for me, usually holds a body, 24 2.8 and 85 1.8 plus accessories) but as well padded as they all are. I got it as my "I'm not a camera bag" bag for when I want to just have a camera with me but I'm not planning on really taking any photos. It does the job great.
No internet connection in it though, pity that.

i love the idea of having a camera bag, that doesn't look like a camera bag, but I'm also guessing that these bags are not made for hiking as well as a sling / backpack are (just a regular shoulder strap / handle). Not something that can be secured onto your body without some modification.
or am I assuming too much?

We've been talking about the shoulder bags mostly so you are correct. However, Crumpler do make backpacks and such as well.

My Formal Lounge was too small for my growing kit, so now its just my laptop bag. It offers marvellous protection and comfort.

The very large Brazillion Dollar Home bag does have a permanent strap that can go around your waist to help stabilize the bag against your back if needed (wide nylon with large heavyduty plastic snap buckle).
I don't know if the other bags in the same line have this feature or not.
It can be tucked away so it isn't just dangling over your butt when you are walking around, which is nice as it keeps the overall appearance of the bag clean.
Personally I won't use this large of a shoulder bag, waist strap or not, to go on even a mild trail hike...it's just to large and I don't think the waist strap would transfer any of the load from my trapezius to my back.

I have 3 Crumplers in current use; a December Quarter which is huge and swallows all my stills kit and a video camera with accessories for when I want to travel heavy. I also have a Ben's Pizza XL which is good for taking my Konica Minolta A200 and flash (and a book and umbrella) and a Cheesy Disco Big Logo which is my work bag.
For day-to-day shooting I prefer to use my Billingham Hadley Pro as it doesn't stand out so much and is softer to wear.

Got myself a 'Bens pizza XXL' a few months ago for lightweight events/walkabouts - Great bag, extremely well made and doesn't look too much like a camera bag.
I'm now looking at a bigger one as well...

I've use to have the Karachi Outpost, i've use it for only a couple of times. Its one of the most comfortable camera/laptop combo backpack around. But it is actually smaller that it looks, i can't fit in my regular gears in it. I normally carry 2x 1Dmk2, 3x 580EX, ST-E2, 17-35 2.8, 28-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8., Quantum 2x2 Turbo. 17in PowerBook G4. But now i hv option the Rolling LowePro Computrekker AW Plus. It kinda fits all my regular gears and best part it comes with wheels........
