I Need CommercialInsurance...who do you use?

I've been asked by my publisher to research available insurance companies for my gear. I want a commercial policy that covers accidents and theft.

Who do you guys use? I want full replacement coverage not a depreciated value. Meaning if I get my gear stolen I can go to where I bought it and get the gear replaced. I'm not interested in hunting for you used gear.

I know this is a little off topic, but I have not seen it mentioned before.

When you are looking at insurance options always read the policy yourself. IT can be quite a daunting task if you have not read insurance policies before, but it would be a very good decision. I work for an Independant Adjusting Firm and I cannot tell you how many times our adjusters go to adjust someone's claim and get denied for something they thought was covered. Not all agents know exactly what they are selling and what is covered or not covered. They know the majority of it, but the normal scenario never happens, it is always the odd thing. We have even had a couple claims (on homeowners) that had to be denied because the agent sold the wrong policy and it did not cover the damages (from hail) that needed to be there. That should be a no brainer for agents, but it is not always that way.

The bad part about that is there is no coverage for there mistakes. Sometimes the insurance company will make it right, but more often than not it does not happen that way.

I am not saying all agents are bad, but make sure to do your due diligence to make sure you are covered correctly.
