OK, the avatar is me (so that took care of that and my face at the same time).

CyberPet is an old nickname I've used since I started on the Internet back in 1995. Came from an old (american) boyfriend who couldn't pronounce my name Petra correctly (It's "Petrah") so he thought he'd be cute and call me Pet. Well, when I got an Internet connection I sort of thought "Hey, the Pet is in Cyberspace" so I named myself CyberPet. A bad choice it seems since many seem to think I had other things in mind with the name and I was approached by some poor deprived men who wanted to have some fun while their wife was watching Oprah, or something. Well I'm not that type of girl, so I let them know. I'm pretty safe now for bad "pet jokes".

Right now I'm sick and haven't worked for a few years due to illness, but I still work. Hmm.. yeah, my employer is fine with it. I work from home and translate books from English to Swedish (done two books by Scott Kelby about Photoshop CS and Elements 3 for digital photographers and now doing a 4th book by him about iPods. The secret 3rd book was about *gasp* digital photography). My employer is a local newspaper btw, and I used to do the layout.

This is where I live: http://www.pitea.se/ (click on the flags to get a language you understand) Piteå is a small city in Northern Sweden. Right now very cold, and wet. No spring yet (even if the snow is gone).

I don't think anyone wants to see my car, but it's an old Ford Mondeo. Needs new suspension in the rear, the strearing is about to go and we're looking for a new car.

Old cameras? Uhm... too many to count, none of them as good as the one I have now. :D

So no pictures in my post, Sorry.

But I can tell you this: I'm married to a Canadian and we live with our two Siamese cats in a big house (about 2690 square feet - or 250 square meters for us Europeans that actually use the metric system). My first camera I got when I was 8 years old, the last one I bought a month ago (Canon EOS 350D) and I'm working on building up my equipment as I type.

If I could add my sig (which my web browser seem to dislike - think it's the annimated smileys) it'd say:

Canon EOS 350D + Kit-lens + Tamron 28-75/2.8 + SpeedLite 420EX + 2 Nikon Coolpixes (5700 & 995)

And then in a few weeks I'd add: Canon 20-35/2.8 L + Canon 80-200/2.8 L (buying them used from a buddy of mine for a killer price!)

The white is my white room door and the colour was boosted via contrast boost (shot with -1 contrast) and then saturation + levels adjusted, well fine tuned :p

new guy over here! just started getting into photography and was recommended to use this forum by a freind as i have recently bought a Canon 350D.

was under the username of scazza@mac.com (it fooked up big time wen keying in, was mena be scazza!) but now I become Criminal_00, the only reason is coz my other name sucked and the hat i was wearing had that written on the side.

Seriously though, that's a lot of distance for a bike! I put several thousand miles on a couple bikes back in my younger days. These days I need four wheels and at least two doors (and, of course, a roomy trunk because I do not travel light!).
