Each shot has something different to offer to the viewer...this is a very nice grouping. Would you mind letting us know the lens you were using and your proximity to the track? The photos make me feel like I am "right there". Not that it matters, but number 1 is the ultimate keeper.

In general i shoot at the border of the track.
I use a 20D with Sigma 100-300 F4 and a Canon 17-40 F4.
