I found this today by accident. It's between the 2 toll booths on the WV turnpike, going between Beckley and Charleston WV. Not the beat shot that I have ever done but I see potential as a very nice place for a fall shot. C&C welcome.

Nice shot. That's a crazy stretch of road. You almost need a sports car just to drive the speed limit!

Cool picture! That looks like Paint Creek. I have drove that stretch of road hundreds of times! It's pretty cool to see a familiar place on here. Thanks!

jsmoove007, the 350XT has served me right over the last year. It's an awsome camera, combined with the right lens.


KWELI1, where in WV are you located? Is that what that creek is called, Paint Creek? I to have driven that stretch of road my times and never noticed the name. I just found out how to get to that area the other day.

I live in the Beckley area. If that is the stream that runs along the interstate going from Beckley to Chaleston, then it is Paint creek. I have a friend that fishes it all the time for trout. I hear it is a pretty nice stream.:D

Ya it is. From the turnpike exit, Mahan I think, its 3 miles long. I'm planning a couple more trips to there sometime in the future.
