I was wondering... amongst advanced amateurs, semi-pros, pros, how many in % are still using film cameras? Has anyone done this kind of survey and what is your best estimate?

One was done in the EOS forum not so long ago. Most people said they used film when they shot black and white photo's / wanted use of the full frame / needed excellent image quality eg. medium format.

CDS. Your typing helps get me through the day. It's like the morning crossword puzzle, anograms, and jumbles all mixed into one. The quality of your posting is in the content, not the execution. :p

We have a Canon point and shoot still loaded with film. It's been loaded with the same film for just over a year... Meanwhile over 8000 digital shots, and even a few still video shots have been taken while the loaded film camera sits snuggly in its case. The SLR has no film or batteries loaded.

Yup! Narry a bottle of stop bath anywhere in the household!
Haven't done dark room for... hmm... really a long time!
I rarely used Stop Bath for film anyways. I just rinsed with clear water for film. I used stop bath for the paper.
