When doing some Macro shots of water drops, I managed to get dried water spots on the UV filter surface. Gentle rubbing by a lens cleaning cloth will not remove them. Is it possible to use 100% IPA to clean the surface, or could this damage the coatings? or is there a better method of cleaning the filter surface?
