Ok, so i dunno if any of you know anything about this, but i found this site http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/ , and i plan to try it with an image or 2 of mine. The only thing is it says the maximum image file size to upload is 1mb, but i'll be using images shot at "large" from my 10D, so that is much more then just one meg, SO, i'm wondering is it better to size the image down so that it becomes only one meg? or is it better to decrease the image quality till it gets to one meg? I don't know what would make a better print out with this type of thing. Thanks in advance.

Do whatever it takes to get the image down to 1meg because rasterbator makes a new file from it that is crystal clear. I don't know how to explain it but you can trust me on this that the original image doesn't need to be high quality - it can be really really low-res.

Try making a 72dpi image 600dpi and then use the colour halftone filter in photoshop and you will see what I mean.
