The card has my vacation pictures on there. sighs...
It tells me that I have a "CF CARD ERROR!" I can't open the card from my Canon S40 or my compact reader. I don't know what to do... Is there a way to save my card????
Please someone help me... =(
It would be greatly appreciated.

Here's another possibility:

It was just posted on dpreview. Wish I'd known about this when I desperately needed it 6 months ago!
Good luck!

Hey,lelelady -
For my own future peace of mind, I noticed on reading the site of that guy andrewtoth.com that he will salvage those disks for you if you send them to him. I know I'd rather do that than go thru all that rigamarol!
lelelady. Sounds like the lyrics to a song, like k-k-katy! Do you know the notes that go with it?
Good luck.......

Thanks all for helping me out.
I gave my card to a friend to see what he can do with it. If he can't find anything on my card, I will definately try those sites and will give feedback if I got my pictures recovered. =)
I should have tried posting this forum before I gave my friend the card.

Yes, I finally got my card today. I used this one... http://home.arcor.de/christian_grau/dir/ called Digital Image Recovery. It restored a lot of my images but about 30 pictures didn't work. I guess it's better than nothing. =D Sure wished the others worked though.
Thanks all for your help. As for the other one. I'm not a Mac user but thanks for your help. =)
