Hi everyone. This was my first attempt at low light with my 70-200 f4L. I was getting flare off the headlights in many of the shots, but here's some of the nicer images.

Northbound freight on the CSX S&NA Sub between Birmingham, Al and Nashville, Tn. Note the old bridge over the tracks that was cut away to allow intermodal stacks and autoracks clearance.

Good idea! A slave with a blue gell off-cam to the right of the 2nd one might have worked well.

the shots look a bit dark, the first one the train is too far away, but i see what you was trying ot do with the tracks etc, i think if the train was closer it would have been a bit bette,r and especially if it was pulling people cars and not haulage

good shot though

regarding light flair,

First shot looks really good, even being a little dark, it's very sharp!

The second one doesn't do much for me, but I do like the light reflecting on the other wagon...
