Rally of Lithgow 2007, Australia

Well last i ventured to Lithgow, and to shoot the Rally of Lithgow. Its a short 80km competitive rally over about 8 stages. Alot of the top NSW rally guys were there to "shakedown" their cars for the 2007 series.

All photos were taken with Canon 10D and 75-300. And photos edited in Lightroom. I experimented abit with the colours, and abit of cross-processing through lightroom, so hopefully there OK.

It got really hard to shoot the cars once it got dark, so i whipped out the tripod and did some time exposures. And with fairly new logged forest it was great where you could see up to 5 cars at once on the stage.

i like the composition of them all, but i prefer the B/W one all the others look over PP'd in my opnion, the blues/greens/yellows look too vivid.

BTW my monitor is calibrated correctly

very nice!. My fav is #3, y like to the #6 and #2.

In general i see the color with to much saturation. In special the green color of the vegetation i weird.

I used a velvia plugin with lightroom then on some of them used a cross-processing plugin. Thats why they look abit overly saturated. Also they look a way better then the original shots as it was quite a bland day.

Nice shots overall...but I agree too much PP especially on the second one.
