Hi,
Does anyone know of good on-line image processing here in the U.K.?
I think I have a Jessops reasonably close by, but I'm wondering if there are any prompt imaging specialist on the web.
Basically I've been asked by a local amateur drama group to take some portrait photographs of the cast. I have a 10D and some studio lighting (Basic Portaflash gear) plus a laptop. But I have a very short amount of time between actually taking the shots and having them processed and ready to display at the Theater. Does anyone have any experience with Jessops etc for quick turn-around processing?
Many Thanks
Dave

I've used both Ofoto, which is Kodak's online service, and Pixum, who seem to be offering a service covering the whole of Europe. Print quality in both cases was excellent but turnaround not quick - Pixum mailed the prints from Cologne.

Lab35 (http://www.lab35.co.uk/contents_digi.html) turn their digital prints around (if you upload) usually within 48 hours. Not had a problem with these people.

This might make a few of you cringe but I have used Bonusprint with much success. I tested them against Jessops by sending them both the same six shots. Bonusprint came back within a couple of days and had a better balance of colour than Jessops. Added to that, they were less than half the price. I have got several of my family members using them as well and they all report quick turnaround with decent prints.
Hope this is of use to you.

To my mind the Jessops prints I've had are streets ahead of the Bonus Print ones.
Bonus Print print of very flimsy paper as well so the look and feel is one of cheapness.

Just adding a second vote for Colab - Ive used them for Slide processing a lot, and have had a few digi prints - very good quality.

If you are interested in a fast turnaround, low volumn, but gallery quality
give this a try
