650-1300mm/8-16. Built by Samyang, commercialised under the brands Exakta and Phoenix.

I was looking on this site, the Canon Camera Museum for the aforementioned lens: http://www.canon.com/camera-museum/camera/lens/f_lens.html to no avail. My best advice is to look it up on your favourite search engine. I will be doing that thru Yahoo momentarily.

Ok, F8-16 that would mean that you need a lot of light and a tripod to make it work, and I have no clue about the quality of the glass. Forget about handheld shots. You can do way better w/ telescopes and or current lenses +2xTC on a 10D (with 1.6 x crop). For eample, the 100-400L w/ 2xTC becomes an F8 (I believe) at 800mm x1.6 = 1280mm!
