I was going back through my photos today, deleting the massive amounts of unused RAW images sucking up hard drive space, and saving the good ones. Well I came to this one I edited, and I really didn't like the sky, it was very blown out and completely ruined the sky. I learned a couple tricks in outdoor photographer, and I used a couple of them here. Didn't really follow the whole process the writer of the article did, but I played around trying to see if I could do it on my own, and this is what came out. Number 1 is the original, and number 2 is the fix, the sky does look artificial, but I think it makes the image look better than it does with a white blown-out sky. C&C :)

because of the light are coming behind and fill-in flash were not used. the people (main subject) became under exposed.
to do this you can use:
fill-in flash + smaller aperture with safety shutter speed
fill-in flash + max aperture with 1/1000sec or above

Yeah, this was a badly exposed picture, I dont think the flash fired on this particular shot.
