I got me a 300D a couple of weeks ago and I've been hanging out here since then, picking up invaluable tips, thanks for that.

Here is my galery (http://www.arumdevil.com/galleries/).

It's a bit empty at the moment but it will grow. I know most of the pictures aren't that good (they were the best of the bunch though!!) but It's been a while since I used my old fully manual SLR and this is my first DSLR so I'm still getting used to it and I have much to learn I know.

all of the photos so far where taken with the 300D+kit 18-55mm lens. I am hoping to get a longer lens soon as well.

any general comments or more specific likes/dislikes and critique will be much appreciated and fully absorbed :)

I got a 300D in January & like it a lot. Good start in your gallery. Keep it up. Have fun!

did the gallery itself look ok? I designed it on my mac and tested it in Safari. I asked a friend to have a look (PC) and he said the thumbnails where off the page !?!?

It looked just fine in Netscape 7.0

Hi.
It's a good start, but you might have some issues (i'm looking at it using IE6 at 1024x768)
It seems like your top picture rows on all your galleries can only be seen halfway, and are overlapping your text underneath.
I notice you have them arranged in a table.

Also you might wanna clean up your source code a little:
your meta tags are pointing to somewhere else and you include keywords about guitars :roll:
<META NAME="keywords"
CONTENT="Guitar,guitar,Guitars,guitars,Guitarmaking,guitarm aking,guitar-making,uk,england,guitar making course,
construction,building,musical,instrument,instrumen ts,craft,woodworking,Norman Reed,norman,reed,arum,
arumdevil,arumdev,arum devereux,devereux,arum devil">
<META NAME="description"
content="Quality handmade hand crafted acoustic guitars made in the uk / England"

<link rel="home" href="http://www.guitars.arumdevil.com/index.html">
<link rel="index" href="http://www.guitars.arumdevil.com/index.html">

But if you clean it up a little, it'll make a very nice gallery.
Nice work.

lol, only just saw your reply cmM, thanks for the heads up.

A friend of mine told me about the thumbnails going off the page too, I fixed it now - it was a CSS error on my part. as for the meta tags- yeah, I took the page from my guitar website and just modified it a bit and I never got round to changing them, but I'm not particularly bothered about that :D

I have a few more pics up there now too.

thanks
