I have so much stuff to carry to support my habit of electronics. Not only do I have the actual equipment but also all of the chargers and patch cords. Let's see, DRebel with all of its chargers and accessaries, 1ds with all of its chargers and accessaries (which make about 5 of the DRebels stuff), Fasttrack 40 gig machine with all of its chargers and accessaries, the laptop with is power and patch cords, palm pilot and its stuff, cell phone with its charger. THIS IS GETTING WAY OUT OF HAND!!! :shock:

That isn't bad at all.

Load up all of that stuff and go out for about a 3-4 day photography backpack trip. Figure on 30 pounds or more of camping stuff.

Since there aren't any AC receptacles out there, figure on extra batteries or else solar panels.

You camp. Camping with electricity is fluffing.


Then again, I got fairly tired of real camping, so now I "camp" in a trailer with full kitchen, shower, etc, etc. Call me a child of the 90's - I have no idea how to live without a microwave.

The hardest part about camping is pounding those tent stakes in the hotel-room floor. Other than that, it isn't so bad.

The hardest part about camping is pounding those tent stakes in the hotel-room floor. Other than that, it isn't so bad.

The evening campfire is hard on the carpet as well - and god-forbid if you stay in a hotel with wooden floors... :roll:

Ahhhh yes..... Some of the best campfires we had were at places that still had those wooden floors. The singing, the ghost stories, the laughing, the crying, the sirens, the hoses......
