since I posted over here. So I thought I would jump the fence, run over here, and clutter things up a bit. I've been experimenting in monochrome (black and white) here of late and so...here are a few shots.:D

Not quite sure what this is. Maybe a hopper or more than likely an immature Katydid. Odd looking fellow but of course it probably thought the same of me.

nice shots but can't see that monochrome gives much to macro shooting of this kind. Maybe i'm too straightjacketed by tradition - I see B&W for industrial landscape, portraits, abstracts - the usual!

Agree with RM but have to admit the lizard looks quite good with this treatment.

Thanks Racketman & Brian :D Black and white does leave a lot to be desired in macro, I agree but you don't see many black and whites anymore and most everyone shoots color. I guess I am living in the past with these, when color was unheard of. Yet I find black and white or monochrome, to be just as challanging, if not more so, than color photography. Thanks again guys. :D

Do you have a colour version of the last one?

eccles asked:

Do you have a colour version of the last one?

No, sorry I don't. All of the them were shot in mono.:)
