Scarlet Robin: endemic to the Southern parts of Australia (incl. Tasmania), lives in woodlands and waits patiently on low twigs to spot insects such as moths, beetles and grubs etc. This robin was enjoying my presents as I would stir something up and then it would fly down to a metre from my feet, snatch the bug and fly to the nearest tree. Unfortunately, the light was terrible, overcast and drab.
