.. This post will make me a Top Contributer! Finally I get that "Proof of trust" seal on my posts, so I can wreak havoc in the EOS-forum, misguiding all the newbies into buying dog-lenses, talk crap about the good ones, insist on them never to charge their batteries over half power, and such on.. And now I can finally do that without anyone doubting my skill-level! It's a great world people, see you in hell

Welcome to the club of non-contributing Top Contributors. We're an elite bunch.
PS: Another good one is to always reverse when you talk about "minimum aperture" and "maximum aperture" - you know, "minimum aperture" is 2.8 because it's a smaller number than 11 or 16.
It confuses the n00bs all to hell.

What exactly makes the "L" lenses so good? I see they're white, but the switch from black to white doesn't justify their money imho =) Of course that was just a joke, but is there anything "special" about them? Or is it just that they give better image-quality, less distortion etc?
yeah, Viz, you've learned a lot in your time here. I for one have found your posts enjoyable and it's been fun to watch you come along so fast.....I've learned all I know here too. I also started here by thinking what's that f number mean....I just lurked for a long time though....you jumped right in and I admire that.
Congrats on joining the ranks my friend.....I'll join you there someday I'm sure.
Keep up the energy and keep us up to date on what you're up to.....
And find a girlfriend.....I miss all you love-lorn stories!

Seriously, did you have to bring up that post? I have self-irony, so I'm not embaressed, I can't wait until "new newbies" are asking that question again over in the EOS-forum. Then I can with trusted confident just tell: "Exactly, they're white! That's it! No more, no less! _WHITE_! You should rather save money and look into the Sigma-series. Just for Gods sake stay away from the EX-series.. Real dogs...

A girlfriend, yes... I can vaguely remember what that was. Think I sold her on ebay to afford a lens some time ago.. I've actually almost gotten two new since that last one, but geographical distance have stopped our efforts. To bad, as I really could use the cash from yet another ebay-sale right now.. The bids for scandinavian girls are usually high  But all the fuzz with the ones trying to sell themself as "fake girlfriends" have given me an idea.. I can sell my 10D as a "fake camera". People can pay me to pretend they got a 10D, and I will send them shots from it which they can claim they took. And at the end of the 30 days, I can fake an insurance-paper saying: "Unfortunately or insurance does not cover your camera getting broken while having sex with Angelina Jolie" Oh yes! This _GOT_ to work, I'm gonna be a billionaire =D Dont steel this idea!
VVIZARD IS MY HERO!!!!
Unfortunateley I think the distance would kill our effort no matter how hard we tried, but thanks for the offer, I keep that in mind

vvizard no need to scam people, kill two birds with one stone.
1st, find a Scandanavian girl with loose morals and low standards.
2nd, set up a porn site
3rd, take some pictures and post them
4th, send me 10% for giving you this great idea.
In a year or so you should have a MKII, a complete collection of all the L lenses and probably be getting your world rocked about twice a day!!!
hmmmmm? Maybe I want 15%...........
