Canon Digital 300D + Alienbee's B800, Safe-Sync Question!

Can someone tell me if it's safe sync voltage using canon 300D with Alienbee's 800B monolight ? (they says it's 5 sync volt)

I don't have money for a SAFE-SYNC adapter right now and I already receive my 800B alienbee.

Alienbee says it's safe but just want to know other people comment on that :-)

If it's under 6v, you should be fine. Your best bet is to use a Wein Safe Sync or wirelsss trigger.
