Rofus-crowned sparrow?

Is this a rofus-crowned sparrow? I took it while walking at the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge this past weekend. The song which is what caught my attention kind of sounded like a painted bunting, yet different. Taken with the 100-400 and 1.5x TC.

Nice catch, but a little dark. Hard to tell from that angle, but was he really small? He looks a lot like a chipping sparrow, but they are little bigger than a humming bird.
