Hey guys. Ive had this a70 for a while now and im trying to take pictures but I really liek the way they look without the flash but everytime I take a picture (in any mode I think), they come out blurry. I liek usign hte flash sometimes but sometimes the flash ruins the actuall light in the scene. I would be VERY greatfull if someone could help me like fidn a setting or something. THANKS alot. :D

Without using the flash it incresses the time the shutter is open causing it to be blurry. You could use Tv mode and use a 1/100 shutter speed but in low light it wil be dark. You could keep it on auto with no flash and with a good amount of light and use a tripod. I hope this helps!

I agree, you should definitely use a tripod (or have a very steady hand) when taking a pic w/o the flash.

When shooting low light photos with little available light the camera must be supported correctly. YOu can do this by bracing the camera against a chair, wall, table, tree, fence.... or something else that is stable. YOu can use a monopod, or tripod too.
The best option is a strudy tripod, and use the self timer to release the shutter (as the simple act of squeezing the trigger will sometimes jar the camera a smidge. Enough to damage an otherwise good shot...)
Expect blurry photos when hand holding the camera if the camera shake warning is displayed. When the little icon turns on, turn the flash on, or stablize the camera.

I like turning the flash off, but if my subject is moving at all - like a child - the subject is blurry in the photo. Any way to fix that?

Add light, which the flash does. To take a picture you need a certain amount of light. You can either use a bright light for a short time or a dimmer light for a longer time. If you go with the latter, both you and your subject have more opportunity to move, so the pictures come out blurry. So if you don't want to use flash, use brighter lights in your house.

Ah but see that was dug up a little under 7 years after it's first posting. This on the other hand was dug up nearly 8 years after it's first posting. But still that is impressive, you can access 11 years of knowledge and bickering about filters on this forum....
