I thought the lightsting was so beautiful, I took a stack of the inside of the slower. While post prcessing I clicked on auto levels by mistake. Even though it looked nothing like the plant, I liked the result.

We would have never known Irwin if you hadn't told us. Is #1 the original colour?

Thank you Lawrie and Alby.
Alby: Yes, #1 is the original color. I was amazed that photoshop was able to extract by manipulation of levels such a tonal range of greens, blues and magentas from what is essentially an orange color.

Interesting effect - I've had similar results with auto levels in elements 5. It does seem to emphasis the blue/green range.

It's amazing how much sharper the adjusted shot is Irwin, I guess you never sharpen it so just changing the colour must have a dramatic effect on the perception of sharpness.

I have never used the auto level command, Martin. I wonder what exactly it is doing wnd how.

You are right Alby. I did not sharpen either image. I know that the color contrast beteen the yellow and the blue green is greater than that of the yellow and the orange. I wonder if the auto levels command also seeks to maximize contrast.
