My these little guys are quick - kept loosing it as it jumped out of frame.
I prefer #1, slightly sharper and better composition - I think :)

Try putting a sharpen filter over it... I think it will give it that little bit more definition.

Both look like good shots to me :) They can be tricky blighters to nail, but they can also be very curious and pose for you. Slightly soft in the eyes on both shots, but very very close to totally nailing the image, good work. Looks like a Zebra to me, but I'm not really that familiar with UK Jumpers. I find them fascinating, and wonderful Arachnids to shoot :)

Good shots- they are a bit fast but will sometimes stop to size up the camera lens :)
