I was having a look at one of the stock agencies requirements for submission, one of which is a camera of at least 12 Megapixels. When I queried this the reply was...
"We would welcome submissions in the future if/when you upgrade your camera system"
One might well ask, "To What ???" I guess the 1DMk III is already outdated...

Make the image 12mp then. Not hard.

Unfortunately the wording is, "a digital camera system with a minimum sensor of 12 mega-pixels, unaltered format (no interpolation)."

Well either fool them of buy a 5d or a 1Ds Mk.II. Done.

Sounds like that Stock Agency will be going out of business or they only want Hasslebland shooters. 12mp is a bit much.

Not every stock agency has a clue. Same goes for publishers.

Hmm at 150 dpi we have
XTi 10mp is 3888 x 2592 giving 25 inches by 17
XT 8mp is 3456 x 2304 giving 23 inches by 15
DReb 6mp is 3072 x 2048 giving 20 inches by 13
5D 12mp is 4368 x 2912 giving 29 inches by 19
I don't see any great advantage of bigger sensors.

Looking on the bright side, getting close enough to wildlife to get a good picture with a FF sensor will be good stalking practice ;)
