Underexposed and lacking detail, a trait prevalent in my own pictures,
which I'm working hard to overcome. It ain't easy. No exif data to
criticize. The windows are very interesting, btw.

Being my own picture, i don't think it's all that underexposed at all. It was a rainy day. Well, right before what turned into a rainy day. I think the mood is gloomy.

Dunno if it's just me, but I like it a lot. :)
I especially like it's distorted look, although I can't help but wonder what it might look like in Black and White.

If it is underexposed, it does not bother me because this image has something very special. It is almost unreal and looks like it was composed with a 3D software then applying real texture. I also like the way the walls and windows are lit.

Thanks guys. For some reason, the ladder seems to project outward to me. I have the picture printed @ 12x18" on luster paper.. very nice piece. i figured i'd share.

Was the color manipulated in this photo??

In any case.........I like it. It has a dreamy effect to it.

Very surreal.

I like this and no I don't think it's over exposed.
The lower left is in shadow and above the stairway is sort of blown out.
The sky looks a bit out of place but overall I like it.
As previously said 3D like.

I think in the lower left under the windows and the fire escape is a little
too dark. But I do understand the effect you're trying to create, now that
you've told me. Gloom and doom effects work best on solitary subjects in
dark and stormy settings. The problem here as I see it, is simply that there
are other buildings nearby and this is obviously a city scene. The just doesn't
conjure up gloom and doom or moodiness in my mind. It's just not Gothic
enough, windows or no.

Please understand I'm just trying to help and convey what my mind tells me.
I'm not an art critic, but I won't lie to you just to make you or anyone feel good, nor would I expect or want you to do that for me.
