The first pic is alright.........It looks a bit unnatural.........Like she doesn't really belong there.
The 2nd pic is stunning!!! The expression, the background blur, the model's eyes. It all came together. Excellent shot.
The 3rd pic........hmmmmmmm...........its too forced. The face look unnatural. The pose looks uncomfortable.
So all in all..............2nd pic is the winner. All very nice though.

The first one is a snapshot. I define snapshots photos that help awaken memories, fill in the blanks, give clues, etc. but this one I have no memory of, so it doesn't work for me. I need to see a point in a photo, on this one, the girl is laying on the pathway through the field, first of, she is not on a blanket or anything, can't be comfortable - she needs a reason to lay there, then there is nothing there, no noticeable flowers, just grass.. so what is she doing there? See where I'm getting at? No offense, just trying to help.
Now the second one is good however I don't really fancy the model being in the center with practically nothing above, nothing below, just the girl in the center but DOF is just right, couldn't be better I suppose.... Perhaps you should tilt your camera, and get closer, that way the model would fill the frame and not-straight angle would make the photo more interesting.
Third one is best, a classic, I like the way her elbows almost touch the frame and one would guess if she's doing something to her hair or undressing, which the serious expression would suggest...

# 3 needs a little PS work... Her hair hangs in just the wrong spot, looks like she needs to shave one of her pits.

I agree with everyone that has posted so far.
Perhaps the first image would have worked better if she was in the middle of a big patch of grass? It looks like a makeshift road (tire tracks) behind her, so the middle of the road pose didn't work?
Agree/disagree?

i think the main thing that would have made these really nice in my mind is the setting. As others have said, it looks like she is in the middle of a road.. look out (just kidding) if these same shots were in a field with flowers or just more green grass.. i would think they would all be perfect for me. good work

the second and third are great (still laughing about the hairy pit thing though!). I agree with a previous comment about the first being a bit unnatural.
I think it would have been better if she were looking into the distance rather than downwards as the viewer's eye will naturally follow that of the subject when viewing a picture.
One other thing that I've picked up about this one too is the angle - I'd say the picture needs to be rotated until her feet are level with her hands or maybe even a little lower.

Denny,
I like all three of them. 1st one reminds me of out walking and just like in this photo, we would be by an old house maybe and I would want to look at it closer and she would sit in the driveway waiting and pretty soon she would be leaning back on her elbow. Some commented on her looking down. Yes, I can understand that, I have even lay on the ground and played with the grass. Yep, I like the first one a lot.
The 2nd & 3rd poses are good too. I too like the look and feel of the 3rd one.
Well done, all of them.
