I like this little Heron; He's no "BLUE"; But he'll have to "DO"
All images taken with 30D; 500mm + 1.4 X; ISO 200.

Love these birds, but I rarely see them around; and when I do seems like they're moving a mile a minute and don't sit still long.

Very nice I have only seen and Photographed these guys twice and I wish I had had the reach you did, very well done.

I really like pose #4. I saw these many years ago at Nortel in the west end.

What a set Ted! How did you manage to keep the focus on the flight shot? Well done!
Thanks Mitch; EZ; & Zip; Just got very lucky on the flight shot through the reeds. He started to move quickly to the top of a little mound and I flipped on the AI Servo; aimed in the general the direction he was going; and when I noticed he left the ground; I just held down the shutter....I'm happy it turned out as good as it did. :D

Thanks buddhasghost; We're pretty lucky with this and 2 others in the same area. Once they settle in; they get pretty comfortable, and give us lots of opportunities.
