Good Day eh!

So, I've been picking here and there at my new site. Take a look, give me some feedback.

Pretty simple but hey! Work in progress =)

Feedback? - You asked for it :lol:

Why are the majority of photographic websites black? I don't know the answer, but they certainly do not make for easy reading :rolleyes:

The font. There are better fonts available than Times New Roman. Verdana or Arial are much easier to read.

Your "Links" Page. The Navigation bar is half obscured by that ghastly blue text on the left. Lower the links down the page a little - and change that awful blue!

A website is somewhere you go to either enjoy a browse or to gain information. Make it easy for your guests to do both in comfort.

Good luck, David

:: Consistency ::
Your home page should match your albums. Otherwise your guests will feel like they have been redirected to a different site.

:: Colors ::
The red navigation bar with the yellow text doesn't look very professional. Try replacing the red bar on your home page with the green bar on your album pages.

:: Fonts ::
Again, the fonts on your home page should match the albums. Try using the font on your albums for your home page. Simple easy to read fonts are best for navigation bars.

:: Photos ::
The photo on your home page is a great shot, but not a very good choice for your website's layout. It simply has too much text for two reasons:
(1) the mirrored Jason McDonald Photography Title Image
(2) your title bar is on top and all the text in the photo in on top

Change your Jalbum settings so the full size images are smaller. That would do wonders I think.

Thanks MB, I'll keep all that in mind for the revamp =) It was the first kick at the cat however, so I figure there is lots of room to improve.

I agree. Slower connections wouldn't want to browse very long...

The album links in the default anchor blue is what jumped out at me at first. Noticed you're using CSS, so just change the anchor attributes to something a little more friendly. And please don't underline links.

Thanks. The Underline is a product of <a href="something">Something</a>.. still it looks stupid I agree. Frankly I need to change it so you can click on the picture.
