Nice shot. Great colors and it's very sharp. The wine splashing in to the glass adds just the right amount of color.

Hi Chris,

I think this is a really nice shot and the colours and transparency of the materials works really well together. You have also managed to capture the time just before the wine rolls over and it gives the picture balance.

There is something that just doesn't work for me. I know I'm being picky but it just niggles if you know what I mean. It's taken me a while to work out what it is but I think I have it.

Your background is pure white from top to bottom which gives this hanging in space feel, yet you have a reflection so its obviously sat on something. For me this just gives a little bit of discord to the image. I've tried the image without the reflection and it doesn't look as good. So I tried adding a very soft graduation to the background with white at the top and a luminosity of 95% at the bottom so that you can hardly tell that its there but it adds this solidity which removes this discord.

Sorry to be so picky with such a lovely image.

Nicely done. I agree, lighting is great, its tack sharp and the colors are nice and vivid. Wouldn't change a thing.

I thought the exact same thing when I saw the picture - "Super bad!. . .oh. . .a reflection"

If you took out that reflection, that would be a picture someone might use in print or as a sweet stock photograph. Aces!
