I was trying to make this look a little less bright and sunny.. More of a sad, lonely kinda picture..

Mind sharing how you got this look in PP?

I think you achieved what you were going for. :)

That processing works well, I like it.

I like what you did here... and you did achieve that sad & lonely look you were looking for.
Another approach you could take is by doing a B&W conversion, bumping up the contrast a little, and maybe adding a vignette to help focus attention on the empty bench... I'll try this at home tonight when I get home from work and see how it looks. But you have a great shot here, don't get me wrong! ;)

I like it, and second the vignette comment. You could get away with desaturating it even more, I think. Great shot. :)

I used the Dragan technique as a reference.
I tweaked the levels a bit to give some good contrast.
I increased the saturation of Yellow
Then Desaturated the master.
Manually burned some of the wood grain
Overlayed a brownish color and played with the opacity.
Pretty much it.. (sometimes I just experiment and dont' realize what I 'm doing.. I should make better note of what I do sometimes. )

Sorry for the dumb question, what is PP?

PP = Post Processing (All the work done AFTER taking the shot, but before printing) ;)

Gotcha, I was trying to think of some brand software that PP stood for.
Thanks.

Here ya go.... this is what I thought of when you said sad and lonely. ;) Now I'm NOT saying that you did it incorrectly... as a matter of fact, I like the way you processed your image. I'm just showing this as an example of another way of approaching things. ;) Hope you like it.
I did exactly what I said in my earlier post. B&W Conversion, bumped contrast (and lowered the brightness a tad), and added a vignette.
