Dark spots on burned DVD's

I was just wondering if anyone has had a problem with irregular dark spots being burned on DVD's. I just got a new Samsung 16X dvd burner and it pretty consistently burns dvd's with these defects. They're not always in the same spot. It doesn't happen on my older Panasonic 8x burner.

Do the DVD's work? Or are the Frisbees?

what make are the DVD's?

are they the same make as your old burner?

how deep do the spots look, Ie do they look they their on the surface of the plastic or burnt in the the foil?

are they there before burning or any other defects?

What did you have for dinner last night?

what speeds are you burning at? if your burning at 16x try 8x (to match your old burner)

is this on all types of data? (shouldnt matter)

are there any noises comming from the drive whilst burnning? other than a slight hum/whirling noise?

a friend of mine works ofr a company that makes and tests black media in the UK its supposed ot be a top lab, but he wont tell me who they are.

TDK's. I have a feeling it has something to do with the burner though.
The 8x Panasonic burns fine.
