Anyone in the Toronto area trying to locate a SmartDisk Flashtrax portable storage device should check out Vistek. Their May-June catalog has three models listed (20GB @ $679, 40GB @$849 and 80GB @ $1,149). To my knowledge, this is the first "big-name" camera store in our area to carry the device.
Couldn't find it on their website (www.vistek.ca), but you'll get a phone number and directions from the site.
By the way, Henry's website lists two Delkin Picture Pads (40GB @ $1,199 and 60GB @ $1,599).
I had a Delkin 40GB for about a day before I returned it and started a search for the FlashTrax, which at that time was not easy to find ...

These storage tanks are just too pricey in Canada. :x

Yeah ... however, I paid about $800 (tax included) for my 30GB model ... able to justify that by looking at the price of extra CF cards .. I'd be able to only buy a few gig worth as opposed to the 30 offered by FlashTrax ...

I wonder if it would be cost effective to buy a X's drive case or something similar and then buy the HD for it. They just take a notebook HD anyway. I'll have to look into this.

FlashTrax 40 gig $699.99 at L Loaeau in Montreal, and that is before discussing the weather with the lads behind the counter.
