Just got the i860 and am doing direct print onto epson borderless 4x6 premium glossy paper with the G3.
The problem is this, when I select bordered from the camera menu the printout creates an uneven border: the sides are bigger than the top or bottom. It causes one to have to trim each photo (borderless option prints fine just no border)
I looked through the documentation in both manuals and can't find a way to change it.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have the same problem with my i900D, I'd love to know how to fix this as well

I have an i860 as well but I've never used it to direct print. I like to touch my shots up a little with PS first, but printing bordered prints from within Windows I don't have any problem with uneven borders. If worse comes to worst you could always try that.

The problem is simple: the pictures from your camera are not the same aspect ratio as the 4"x6" photo paper. The aspect ratio for G3 images is 3:4 (same as 4:5.33). This means if you make a print with white borders, the margins will be wider in one direction.
When you print a borderless print on the i860, the software crops equally from the top and the bottom of the G3's image to make an image that has a 2:3 (same thing as 4:6) aspect ratio.
To get proper bordered prints, you could crop the picture in any photo software so that you create a new jpg image with the 2:3 aspect ratio. Then, when you use the printer software to print this new image, you'll end up with borders that are uniform.
