I have just bought a second-hand Canon 100 F/2 ( see it here: http://www.canon.com.au/products/cameras_lenses_accessories/telephoto_lenses/ef100mmf20usm.html) and while I am in love with its performance, I am not so happy with the results. For example:

That is a crop of a high-res (3000 x 2000 pixel) shot of sun shining on a spider web taken at F2. Is this something I am going to have to get used to, or is the lens faulty?
