Hey all,

I posted a few weeks ago trying to find a way to duplicate this style of retouching.

A couple replied with easy replies such as "It's the dragan effect" or "it's just dodge and burn" but in all honesty, it's neither of those. At least, not in it's entirety.

I have made a little bit of progress using highpasses, sharpening, curves and transfer modes, but there's still a bit missing.

I was wondering if any seasoned retouchers out there would be willing to share their knowledge if they have any insights on this work-flow.

Ask F4ust. It looks to me like a lot has been done. I don't think retouching correctly defines it. This person has established their own digital style.

Yeah I tried that, but he's unresponsive.

There are a number of other people that employ a nearly identical "style" but faust's are the only ones I knew how to find off-hand.

99% sure that those shots have been done with a process called "Tone Mapping". Photomatix is the name of the program you want. Google for thier home page. Take a look at THIS (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=296675) and tell me if that is what you are looking for.

Still possible that the Dargaon (sp?) filter is appled as well.
